Obituaries : Donna Mae Carlson

Donna Mae Carlson, 89, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, November 28, 2024. A visitation will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood in Cedar Rapids.
Donna was born November 15, 1935, in Braham, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Elsie (Swanson) Strelow. She graduated from Braham High School. Donna worked as a dietary aide for Noelridge Care Center until her retirement. She enjoyed flowers, traveling, car rides, holiday baking, and watching The Price Is Right, amongst other TV shows. Donna liked doing crossword puzzles and decorating her house for the holidays. Above all, she was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Jeffery Carlson, Scott Carlson, Todd Carlson, JoDee (Lyle) Manning, and DeAnn Carlson, all of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Nicole Bode of Fairfax, Iowa, Sierra Manning of Cedar Rapids, Garrett Carlson of Fairfax, and Wesley Carlson of Atkins, Iowa; brother, Willie (Judi) Strelow of Braham, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Marlyn (Lois) Strelow.
