Wayne Tollefson, age 76, formerly of Decorah passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, at his home in Central City, Iowa.

A private graveside service will take place at Springfield Lutheran Cemetery in Decorah, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18th, 2025, at the Central City Amvets, 16 S 4th St, Central City, Iowa 52214.

Wayne Dean Tollefson was born to Ernest Walter Tollefson and Nina Mae Thorson on August 24, 1948, in Decorah, Iowa.

Wayne worked for Nash Finch, Hill and Willams, and Paul Jerback where he drove a semi-truck. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going hunting and fishing, golfing, bowling, watching westerns, and watching football games.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and brother: Russell Tollefson.

Wayne is survived by his children: Ron Tollefson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Randy (Sherrie) Tollefson of Vinton, Iowa. Sister: Cheryl (Dennis) Choate of Norway, Iowa. Nephews: Russell Jr. Tollefson, Steven Tollefson, Troy Mrstik, Kyle Mrstik, Dan Choate, and Ryan Choate. Stepsons: Shawn Hanf, Travis Hanf, and Brandon Hanf. Grandchildren: Christina (James) Buser, Amber Tollefson, Haliey (Kyle) Foster, Devin Tollefson, Jayden (Abby) Tollefson, and Austin Tollefson. Great grandchildren: Caroline, Olivia, Oliver, Bailey, and Owen.
