James was born June 16, 1963 to Pat Womack and Shirley Berry in Harvey, IL. After graduating high school Jimmy left Illinois and went to Huntland, Tennessee where he began to work as a concrete finisher with his dad. Jimmy moved to South Florida for a few years before returning with his family to Huntland. In April 1992, Jimmy married Gayle Womack; they were blessed with two daughters before going their separate ways. For most of his life, Jimmy was self-employed doing concrete and was known as the best concrete guy around. Later in life Jimmy moved to Belle Plaine Iowa where he continued to travel and do the work he loved.

Jimmy worked for several years training bloodhounds and working with South Florida Search and Rescue teams. He loved horses, motorcycles, and his grandbabies.

Jimmy loved his family, loved to have a good time, and loved doing concrete. He was still a kid at heart and never missed an opportunity to goof off with his grandkids or get in trouble right alongside them. He was the toughest man we ever knew and he is going to be greatly missed.

He is survived by his father, Pat of Huntland, TN, children, Misti (Paul) Sanders of Elora, TN, Christina (Richie) Cremeans of Huntland, TN, Trenton Horton of Lynchburg, TN; grandchildren, Paige, Drake, Deric, Jaelynne, Emily, Bella, Jaxon, and Peyton; great-grandchildren, Kingston, Rylie, and Ellie Mae; silbings, Sherry Norgard, Anita Berry; special friend and life companion, Lisa Wiebke of Belle Plaine.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Berry; and grandson, Mathew Sanders.

Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.
