Faith Ann Brown, 60 died peacefully Saturday, February 22, 2025, at home.
Born, June 24, 1964, in Algona, IA she was the daughter of Anna Zita and Rex Brown. Growing up on the family farm in rural West Bend, she was very proud to say she was a farmer's daughter.
After graduating from West Bend High School, she received her journalism degree from ILCC in Estherville, IA.
Faith began working at the Cedar Valley Daily Times in the fall of 1984. Spending nearly a decade at the paper, she interviewed many people who would later become friends.
After leaving the paper she traveled to Cedar Rapids for over two decades working in Customer/Dealer Care for GE Capital Financing and most recently Wells Fargo Equipment Financing. So many of those co-workers became good friends.
Faith is survived by her mother, Anna Zita, Ankeny; three sisters, Daniela Doty, Ankeny, Nan (Curt) Klouse, Polk City, Renee (Tim) Dailey, Princeton, MO; one brother, Larry (Renita) Brown, West Bend; four nephews, Ryan (Rachael) Doty, Polk City, Jason (Lindsay) Klouse, Ankeny, Eric Klouse, Clive, Drew Dailey, Princeton, MO; seven nieces, Amber (Adam) Rogers, Polk City, Katherine (Ryan) Garrett, Ankeny, Ashley and Heather Brown, Grinnell, Megan Brown, Brookings, SD, Sarah Brown, Mason City, Hannah (Ethan) Darneal-Berger and Drew Dailey all of Princeton, MO; nine great nieces and nephews; and beyond blessed with many friends who have become family.
Preceding her in death were her father, Rex, a sister, Karen Diane, a brother-in-law, Kevin Doty, her grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of life will be held at the Phillips Family Center (605 2nd Avenue) in Vinton, from 2:00 until 5:00 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2025. Private burial will be held at a later date.
