Richard Stephan Whipple, 59, passed away peacefully at his home on April 7, 2010. A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. Thursday April 15 at Meadows Valley Jr-Sr High School, 500 Miller Ave in New Meadows, Idaho.
He was born March 16, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa to Richard and Rose Whipple. During his early grade school years, his family moved to Vinton, Iowa and he spent most of his childhood there. In 1969, he graduated from Vinton High School and moved west to Idaho shortly after.
In 1975, he married Beth Hanson and raised a family of his own. He was a man of unshakable faith and demonstrated uncompromising integrity and kindness. Everything he did, he did for his loved ones, always putting himself last. He enjoyed the outdoors to the fullest extent; frequently camping, hunting and fishing with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his mother Rose Ryan. He is survived by his father Richard of Roanoke, Va., and his three children Sam, Charlie and Johanna of Boise, Idaho.
