Obituaries : Lynne E. Berry

Lynne E. Berry, 77, passed away on April 19, 2026 at Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, April 24, 2026 at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel (212 E 6th St.) in Vinton with Pastor Darrian Adkins officiating. Interment will be held at the New Urbana Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Lynne was born in Urbana, Iowa on December 11, 1948 to Clarence and Norma (Benson) Kisling. She graduated from Urbana High School in 1967. Lynne was united in marriage to Dave Berry at the Urbana Christian Church on December 17, 1966. She and her husband Dave ran bowling centers for most of her life.

Lynne bowled for 37 years, traveling to and competing in national tournaments. She also loved collecting dolls, collecting ceramic chickens, and flower arranging.

Lynne is survived by her husband, Dave Berry; her daughters, Renee (Dennis) Ransdell, and Shelly (Jeff) Pearson; her brother, Greg Kisling; 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Norma; and her daughter, Teresa Berry.
