Tina Marie Ellis

Tina Marie Ellis, 39, of Watkins, died Monday, November 12, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, from injuries suffered in a car accident. Services have been scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 16, at Cedar Rapids Family Church, with Pastor Daniel Winn officiating. Family visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15. at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her husband, Andy; her father, Larry (Nancy) Stroschein; her mother, Connie (Bob) Hayes Konigsmark; four children, Paul Walker of Cedar Rapids, Alyssa Ellis, Brady Ellis and Eben Ellis all of Watkins; her step children, Ashley Ellis-Harbach and Amanda Garrity; her step grandchildren, Nolan and Kylie; two sisters, Amy (Wayne) LeRoy of La Porte City and Kristie (Channon) McKibben of Newhall; two step sisters, Sara (Ed) Hertrampf of Elkader and Katie Klosterman of North Liberty; two step brothers, Aaron (Brandy) Klosterman of Coralville and Bryan (Andrea) Klosterman of North Liberty; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Born June 25, 1973, in Des Moines, Tina was the daughter of Larry Stroschein and Connie Bullock. On September 13, 1995, she was united in marriage to Andy Ellis. Tina was a published author and worked for Country Gourmet and Rockwell Collins.

Tina loved spending time with her family. She was a really hard worker who enjoyed playing sports and vacationing with her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tina’s memory for a college fund for her children.
