Sandra Kay Von Ahsen

NEWHALL: Sandra Kay Von Ahsen, 64, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Keystone Nursing Care Center.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church in Newhall with Rev. Steven Rempfer officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday at the church. Interment will be held at St. John Cemetery, Newhall. A Memorial Fund has been established.

Sandra was born October 8, 1948 at Williamsburg, IA to Eldon and Helen (Smith) Von Ahsen.

She was employed at various work centers through Benton County Opportunities.

Sandra was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing cards, dancing, eating out and spending time with her family and many friends.

She is survived by her parents, Eldon and Helen Von Ahsen of Newhall; her brother Dennis (Pinky) Von Ahsen of Newhall; two nephews, Nick (Angie) Von Ahsen and Jeff Von Ahsen, all of Atkins; two great nephews, Will and Owen and her great niece Emma as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Otto and Anna Von Ahsen and Ed and Augusta Smith.
