VINTON – Wanda M. Johnson, 84, of Vinton, died Thursday, December 27, 2012, at her home in Vinton. Per her wishes, her body will be cremated and her remains will be laid to rest with her husband in Michigan.
Wanda was born December 31, 1927, in Greenville, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Blanche Williams Black. She attended school in Greenville and worked as a seamstress.
On September 4, 1949, Wanda was united in marriage with Herbert “Roy” Johnson in Greenville.
Wanda is survived by two sons: Brad (Jill) Johnson of Vinton, IA, and Terry (Cindy) Johnson of Reston, VA; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and 10 siblings.
