Edwin Fritz
VINTON: Edwin Lee Fritz, 55, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at his residence following a sudden illness. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton, with Father Ardel Barta officiating. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, near Urbana. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Edwin was born Jan. 29, 1958 in Davenport to Lester and Zelma (Hein) Fritz. He had been employed as a roofer with D.C. Taylor.
Edwin is survived by his wife, Marlene of Vinton; his daughter, Tiffany Fritz of Garrison; his foster son, Jason Stout; his grandchildren, Alesha, Nicole and Kassidi Brunssen and Payton Stout; his father and stepmother, Lester and Louise Fritz of Vinton; and his sister, Joan (Bob) Jindrich of West Branch.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Zelma.
