Louis A. Segebarth

VINTON: Louis A. Segebarth, Jr. 89, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.

Public Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.

Louis was born December 4, 1923 near Frederika, Iowa to Louis and Clara (Bierman) Segebarth, Sr..On May 23, 1924 he was united in marriage to Patricia Spies at Camdenton, Missouri.She preceded him in death in 1995.

Louis was employed as a clerk at Theisen's in Vinton from 1971 to 1996.He enjoyed membership in Bowling Leagues at Berry's Lanes in Vinton for 61 years and played golf following his retirement at Rolling Acres in Center Point.

He is survived by his sons, Michael (Barbara) Segebarth of Minneola, FL, and Roger Segebarth of Vinton; five grand and five great grandchildren; his brother, Mark (Ruby) Segebarth of Lebanon, MO; and his sisters, Mildred Lichty of Newnan, GA, and Maxine Lehmkuhl of Dresden, TN.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Segebarth in 1984; his brothers, Victor, Willis, Duane and Wilbert.
