VINTON:     Kenneth "Kenny" Dufresne, 70, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at his residence following a sudden illness.
     Public Graveside Services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton on Thursday, July 11, 2013 following visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. 6th St. in Vinton.  Rev. John Karrick will conduct the Graveside Service.  A memorial fund has been established.
     Kenny was born April 28, 1943 at Vinton to Kenneth Earl and Mabel (Eckhart) Dufresne and graduated from Vinton's Washington High School in 1961.
     On August 6, 1963 he was united in marriage to Joyce Tharp at Vinton.
     For forty-five years, Kenny owned and operated D & S Body and Paint in Vinton.
     He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Joyce Dufresne of Vinton; his daughter, Kathy (Eric) Ockenfels of Williston, ND; his son, Kevin ( Micki) Dufresne of Vinton; his grandchildren, Nick and Travis Ockenfels, and Ashley, Tiffany and Megan Dufresne; his great grandson, Jacob Hanover; his sisters, Carol Little and Loraine Rider and his brothers, Larry DeGroot and Steven Dufresne.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; and his step-mother, Nellie.
