While researching to find out what EXACTLY was exempt under the tax holiday I was both amused and irritated.
You can buy a tuxedo and not pay tax on it, you may where it once or twice around town here, but you CAN'T buy sports shoes for your kids if they have cleats or spikes, something that will get worn until they wear out.
You can also buy some new shoulder pads for your dresses, in case you want to go back to that "vintage" 80's look, but you CAN'T buy protective shoulder pads to keep your kids safe during the football games.
The good news, no matter the age, you can get diapers tax free, from baby to adult, so they did get some things right in this idea, however, I think they should look at it some more.
Maybe leave off the bow ties and add the whole section that is taxable under protective clothing...just an idea....
