This last week I looked at our outbound email and some days it was pretty slim.

Today there is a weeks worth of news in one day!

Most of the weekend was spent covering events, snapping pictures, getting the stories, and posting them.

The majority of our time was spent uploading pictures.

Not just one or two, but hundreds! Most events Dean snaps at least 2-250 pictures. Larger and longer events it runs easily close to 1,000.

Due to the, not so fast to sometimes non existent internet service we have or don't have in the country, the way we upload pictures is to set the computer to upload them to Facebook, then go to bed.

I'm not kidding.

OR we set a couple computers to do this while we pack for and then take a weekend trip...ok we haven't done that YET, but we really could and get back just in time to add the description to the albums on Facebook.

This weekend, Dean scraped his change together and sat at McDonald's to upload pictures while eating his McDouble or Chicken McNuggets.

We've even resorted to late night trips to town to borrow WIFI to bring you urgent photos.

Which brings me to another point, or two.

Get that hight speed internet Vinton...and then extend the Vinton city limits north a few more miles so we can use it too!

Dean really does go above and beyond to bring you the Vinton news. He left Friday night and we saw him again Sunday night, he just finished getting all of the news from the weekend on a few minutes ago.

So take a minute, enjoy the stories, go to our Facebook page and see all of the pictures. I know some of you are holding out and not wanting to take that leap to Facebook, but really, if you want to see all the happenings, you have got to add that to your list of places to see on the internet.

For those who aren't signed up for our FREE DAILY EMAIL click on the blue words to sign up then you won't miss ANYTHING!

So now that the "rush" to get pictures on our page is over for the moment, I'll have to pop some popcorn and find a good movie...until Dean rushes back in the door with another few hundred photos to share with you!
