Opinion : Letter to the Editor Trump racist or judicial bias?‏

I am not in any position to defend Mr. Trump shooting off his mouth. But, I know what he was talking about – judicial bias! This judge is/was a member of decidedly racist Latino organizations. It can certainly be suspected that this judge has a bias against a rich businessman.

I am relating this story about a good friend of mine. He was involved in an aviation accident with injuries and one fatality. The Federal Aviation Agency investigated and determined that it was an accident and not caused by pilot error. End of story – right? A civil trial ensues for damages to the family of the fatality. The pilot was qualified and had recently passed a check ride with a satisfactory grade. At trial the Judge refused to allow the defendants own attorney at table allowing only the Insurance Company attorney. Also evidence that the manufacturer of the wire cutter device changed the design to lengthen patent protection was not allowed. The design change was not tested and has been proven to not work. My friend was found liable and the judgement included the insurance payment and all of my friend’s assets. He was left penniless, and the judge imposed a gag order. In my opinion he was treated unfairly and was restricted in complaining about it. An appeal would have been expensive – just how was he to pay attorney fees when all of his assets were confiscated?

Is there judicial bias? Black Americans and Latinos have been complaining about racial bias for decades. A white person is not immune, but is not allowed to complain! Mr. Trump is not racist! However, he needs to be more careful with his phasing.

On the whole Mr. Trump will be much better for America than either Hillary or Bernie.
