Opinion : Letter to the Editor: Food Pantry Says, 'Thank You'

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Vinton Food Pantry, we would like to thank the remarkable Raegan Junge for her wonderful outreach to the community to help provide much-needed items to the families displaced by the July 17 tornado.

Because of her, and the community’s response, many families were helped and the items left untaken after the two-day distribution were donated to the Salvation Army and food, and non-food household items were brought to our pantry. Truly a windfall for us.

Thank you, Raegan and all those who helped her show that as a community, we can make a real difference by donating to help people in need.
