Opinion : Letter to the Editor: Open letter to President of UNI

As a transplant to Iowa from Ontario, where I was both raised and educated, I am deeply disturbed to learn that the University of Northern Iowa's student government has forbidden the formation of a pro-life student group to operate on campus.
Such attacks are now commonplace in Canada. Indeed, totalitarian cowardice is so firmly entrenched in Canada that to debate the ethics of abortion in the political sphere is strictly forbidden. Likewise, the universities obediently march in lockstep with the prevailing groupthink which, for the maintenance of social control and sexual subjugation ("freedom"), demands the spilling of fetal blood.
I urge you to regain the integrity of UNI as an institution of higher education by forbidding the woke radicals who run student government to suffocate free speech and independent thought.
Be bold. Be a man of courage. Defend virtue. Permit the formation of a group whose aim is to save human life
