Editor:

Threats made to Supreme Court Justice Gorsuch like this one, " I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanagh; you have reaped the whirlwind, you will not know what hit you, if you carry through with these awful decisions" Sounds like a threat - a bodily threat, and assassination threat? But what decisions?

A disturbed person traveling from California made an attempt to invade Justice Kavanagh's home -WHERE HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN LIVE. This previous threat was made and notice given to the ethics: committee and DOJ. What is to be done? Charges, indictment, trial, verdict, but will it be done?

If an ordinary citizen said these things, yes, but who said the threat above? Senator Chuck Schumer. Democrats seem to escape justice. How long can we as a people tolerate this?? Chuckie is not the only one. Remember Maxine Waters' diatribe, basically whenever you find President Trump's people - get in their face - tell them they are not welcome here. How long can we tolerate this crap?

GB June 10, 2022, 7:24 am Thank you John.
We do not need more laws to protect our justices. We simply need to enforce the laws we already have. Intimidating aand or threatening a Judicial Official is a crime in every state as well as a federal crime.
The Justice Department has a duty to act. This President should act and all of Congress should act. Yet the current Democratically controlled House and Senate will not. It does not meet their agenda. They sit on their hands and ignore The mountain of growing evidence against the Biden’s and their connection to China, Ukrain and even Russia. They would rather focus on January 6th.
Everyone agrees January 6th was something that should not have happened. The Democrats continue to bring up the property damage and physical injuries which occured on January 6th and yet say nothing about the billions of dollars worth of damage, injuries and death caused but the riots across our country. January 6th was a fraction of what the riots were. Yet the Democrats say nothing. It is shameful.
NG June 10, 2022, 5:48 pm Yes John, some have definitely gone too far. They went too far when they invaded the capital on 1/6/21. Some republicans like Scott Perry know that they went too far so they asked trump for a pardon before he left office. Evidently Perry isn't the only one so there are more names to be revealed. The fired Fox editor will testify at the next 1/6 hearing. trump definitely went to far when he called all the people to DC for the insurrection. trumps cult definitely went too far when they entered the capital and destroyed property and smeared feces on the walls. trump definitely went too far when he decided he couldn't be called a loser and decided to steal the election and he didn't care who got hurt, he just kept on lying.

Yes I agree Chuck Schumer went too far in what he said and he agrees he should not have said it. He apologized, something trump never has done when he went to far.

Go ahead and call Schumer out if you want but never have heard you call trump out, and he has definitely broken the law. That's what you should be calling out.

AB June 10, 2022, 5:49 pm And let's not forget the sniper scope imagery Sarah Palin used that actually did result in the shooting of several people, killing six including a nine year old girl and a district chief judge, and included a sitting congress person and permanently disabling her.
DL June 10, 2022, 6:59 pm Where was this kind of rant when 6 thugs in Michigan plotted to kidnap and kill the governor of Michigan? Or, the Coast Guard officer who planned to assassinate former President Obama? Or, the Trump supporter that sent bombs to several leaders in the Democratic Party? Or, Trump saying that Pence should be hung? Before you criticize anyone for something someone says, you should be reminded of your cult leaders many gross threats he made, while he was pretending to be a United States President. You're casting stones at a glass house that isn't near the size of your own!
AB June 10, 2022, 8:11 pm Certainly let's not forget Donald Trump's violent incentives to attack the literal embodiment of the first amendment https://www.aclu.org/blog/free-speech/freedom-press/donald-trump-thinks-freedom-press-disgusting
GB June 11, 2022, 7:31 pm Again, January 6th pales in comparison to the riots across this country the previous summer. Yet the Democrats say nothing! They called them peaceful! They were a thousand times more violent than January 6th. People's property were damaged, lives (many lives) were lost. Yet our local fools fail to say anything about this, let a lone condem it. It doesn't fit their left wing agenda.
It must truly be miserable to be them. They know who they are. They are fools..
AB June 12, 2022, 4:31 pm January 6 was literally an attempt to overthrow the government and reverse a legitimate election. I can't think of a single riot that doesn't pale in comparison to that. Especially given that most riots are motivated by rampant government - and particularly conservative government - targeted racial prejudice.
GB June 13, 2022, 7:18 am Again, January 6th should have never happened. This riots across this country should not have occurred either.
Lindsey, Trump has a big mouth. His biggest fault is not being able to keep his pie hole shut. His policies as President were a shot in the arm for our economy as well as sending adversaries around the world a strong message. I’d gladly take a few mean tweets from him and have $2.00 a gallon for diesel back and a roaring economy. Only a fool would state otherwise. Trump did authorize up to 20,000 National Guardsmen for added security in DC. Nance Pelosi rejected that. Maybe someone should be asking her why? Now some former CBS producer came up with a documentary and that is the foundation for the hearings on January 6th? Really? It’s a film! Some truth and some false narratives. That doesn’t make the entire film fact. Again, January 6th should have never happened! Yet there is plenty of blame to go around on both sides why it did.
Moving on to these clowns in Michigan who were charged with the attempted kidnapping of the Governor. For anyone with the ability to follow current events, one could quickly determine these idiots were sitting around smoking pot and talking smack about what they would do. One of their companions was an informant for the FBI. They never organized a plot to kidnap anyone until the FBI lead them down that path. Read the news. It’s out there. Two have been acquitted already and two more were found guilty of low level violations of crime. Hardly worth the type of reporting the press gave the case.
JS June 13, 2022, 3:42 pm Thank you Gerald,

The rest of you missed the point. You bring up all this extraneous stuff that means nothing NIT-NOE. You have this "what aboutism" disease. You do not discuss the issues I raise. No sitting judge should feel threatened by any perp they sentence or be intimidated by rioters trying to affect their decision which will be based on law and the U. S. Constitution. Boy you people are way out there!!!
AB June 13, 2022, 8:45 pm I agree with you John. By the same token no sitting senator should feel threatened - or actually BE threatened - by someone inspired by violent imagery from a former vice president.
AB June 13, 2022, 8:50 pm "I’d gladly take a few mean tweets from him and have $2.00 a gallon for diesel back and a roaring economy."

I trust you're not seriously suggesting that the current economy is not the result of the previous president's policies?
DC June 14, 2022, 7:47 pm Gerald Bates...good facts. Where's Siskel, Ebert, and Co., you know, the ones that don't write anything, only criticize and quote "their facts."

MP June 15, 2022, 1:32 pm The comments here just show how divided this nation truly is. The answer? Until ALL people in both parties can stop the "whataboutism" and come together on areas all agree on and give and take on issues where there is contention, nothing will change. Look in the mirror and decide.
