Letter to the Editor: Biden orders the U.S. into Romania

Dear Editor:Citizens, soldiers, sailors and airmen be on the alert. This is a serious matter!!Biden as Commander in Chief ordered the 101st into Romania --- did I get that right?A retired Brigader General reports that they are on a combat footing??What the hell is he doing??? War powers reside in the Congress. If the U.S. or U.S. forces are under attack - I believe the President as Commander in Chief has the authority to order armed forces to defend the homeland or our assets overseas. But sustained combat should be authorized by Congress with a declaration of War. Man is this ever scary!!!!! Russia has Nuclear weapons that can reach our cities and he has shorter range tactical nukes. These troops aren’t in Ukraine fighting they are with our NATO Allie’s in Romania. These troops are there incase Putin escalates the current war going on in Ukraine with Nuclear weapons or chemical. Your opinion post is nothing but fear mongering.

NG October 28, 2022, 6:21 pm John, this was done in February, you are a little slow. They were sent into Romania, Poland, and Germany, our allies.
