When I was a little girl, my great-grandpa sat in a wheelchair with a kippah on his head. Now, I didn't know a lot about the Jewish faith, and I still don't. But it always fascinated me.

There were stories about how a Jewish family had taken in family members after a devastating car vs. train accident killed my great-great grandparents in Melbourne, Iowa on what would later become my birthdate, some 45 years later. Anyway back to the Jewish faith discussion.

While I know absolutely nothing about it, I ran across this and so I thought I would share it with all of you. If nothing else, it would be fun for the kids to learn a little about the Jewish faith, and hey, I'm going to watch this just to educate myself more about it.

So thanks to a great grandpa who suffered from polio and who was only trying to keep his head warm, and no, the stories couldn't probably be true about the Jewish family taking in the adult children of my great great grandparents...all of that planted a seed and curiosity.

So if you're so inclined, take a few minutes to watch a Passover Seder recorded in 2020 during the pandemic.

Dennis Prager will explain the meaning of the Passover rituals and read from a Haggadah (the story of the Jewish exodus from slavery in Egypt). If you want to participate along with him, you'll need the standard Passover supplies (one per person in your household):

1) Matzo2) Salt water3) Parsley4) A hard-boiled egg5) Horseradish6) Charoset - a mix of nuts, raisins, and honey7) HaggadahYou can watch by clicking HERE.
