Dear Editor:I have no way of verifying this article, but we need to see this anyway.  We can not count on the MSM to assess this war as it is. nor can we count on the Biden Administration to spend our taxpayer money wisely.  We already have a $33T national debt. How can we sustain more?
Thus:Seymour Hersh Claims Ukraine 'War Effort' Is 'All Lies': 'The War Is Over - Russia Has Won'

By Frank Bergman

Renowned investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has claimed that the U.S.-led war effort in Ukraine is "all lies."

According to Hersh, the war is already "over" and "Russia has won."

The veteran reporter alleges that the CIA and MI-6 have been running a "secret disinformation operation" to convince the public to keep funding "the war."

He says the American and British intelligence agencies have been misleading the public about the disastrous state of the war effort.

"The war is over. Russia has won," a senior U.S. intel official reportedly told Hersh.

"There is no Ukrainian offensive anymore, but the White House and the American media have to keep the lie going.

"The truth is if the Ukrainian army is ordered to continue the offensive, the army would mutiny.

"The soldiers aren't willing to die anymore, but this doesn't fit the B.S. that is being authored by the Biden White House."

As the first anniversary of the destruction of the Nord Stream pipeline approaches next Tuesday, Hersh promised more revelations.

His scathing report on February 8 accused the Biden admin of committing the greatest act of industrial sabotage since WW II - against an ally, Germany - by destroying the pipeline.

As Volodymyr Zelensky made the rounds at the UN and in Washington, Hersh wrote that his intel source told him "the war continues … because Zelensky insists that it must."

"There is no discussion in his headquarters or in the Biden White House of a ceasefire and no interest in talks that could lead to an end to the slaughter," Hersh said.

Hersh responded to the Ukrainian claims of slow progress in an offensive that has lost an estimated 75,000 casualties.

info.

According to Hersh, the official told him that "It's all lies."

There has been a "secret disinformation operation" by the CIA and British intelligence aimed at discrediting Putin, Hersh wrote.

The campaign has led "major media outlets here and in London to report that the Russian president was suffering from varied illnesses that included blood disorders and a serious cancer."

During the much-anticipated Ukrainian spring offensive, "there were some early penetrations" of the Russians' heavily fortified "Maginot Line," the source told Hersh.

"The Russians retreated to sucker them in. And they all got killed," he added.

"After weeks of high casualties and little progress, along with horrific losses to tanks and armored vehicles," the source said.

"Major elements of the Ukrainian army, without declaring so, virtually canceled the offensive," Hersh reports.

"The two villages that the Ukrainian army recently claimed as captured are so tiny that they could fit between two Burma-Shave signs," the source said.

The Biden-Obama "neocon hostility to Russia" had caused "a significant split in the intelligence community," Hersh writes.

He cites a "longstanding disagreement between the CIA and other elements of the intelligence community on the prognosis of the current war in the Ukraine."

The CIA has been "far more skeptical than their counterparts at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) on the prospect for a Ukraine success," Hersh notes.

He says the American media has ignored this, however.

Speaking at the UN this week, Democrat President Joe Biden ignored the disastrous failure of the billion-dollar Ukrainian offensive.

Zelensky, meanwhile, refused to consider peace negotiations and continued to demand more money and arms.

In an interview with The Economist, Zelensky issued a veiled threat to European countries that had taken in millions of Ukrainian refugees, according to Hersh.

The refugees had "behaved well . . . and are grateful" but there is "no way of predicting how they would react to their country being abandoned," Hersh said.

DL September 29, 2023, 2:25 pm There are a total of 7 Republican members of Congress that don't support the continued effort to support NATO in Ukraine. Are the other 267 Republican members being fooled as your story suggests?
GB October 1, 2023, 9:42 pm It amazes me how little we actually learn from history. Like most Americans, I believe we should support Ukraine and yet one must ask our leaders in what way?
It strikes me that so far, the powers that be are shockingly stupid and ignorant as well as hypocritical.
They scream bloody murder about how Ukraine has a right to sovereignty and how the border in Ukraine needs to be protected and yet ignore our own border crisis. Last week or maybe a couple of weeks ago, it came out that the United States was paying the salaries and pension plans of the first responders in Ukraine. Not sure how that falls under military aid to Ukraine...
There appears to be very little accountability to track where the money goes in Ukraine. This is anything except a good thing.
It was bad enough when our brilliant clown in the Whitehouse decided to give Ukraine M-1 Tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles. Then he had another brilliant idea to deplete our own war stock of artillery rounds. We have already spent billions of US tax payer dollars funding Ukraine. I can't help but question how much of that spent is/ was the result of the millions of dollars the Biden Crime Family received from Ukraine in bribes to influence US Foreign Policy?
There does not appear to be any defined plan of action and no clearly defined strategy.
