Dear Editor,

Ukraine/Russia war: Discussions in Saudi Arabia were begun February 18 to negotiate an end to the war. Included were highest-level diplomats from US, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. Following an earlier February 13 Putin/Trump call, the February 18 negotiations excluded any representatives from Ukraine and any European NATO members. Trump has stated peace would require that Ukraine stop pursuit of NATO membership, and give seized Ukrainian territory to Russia.

Laughable: Trump called Ukrainian president Zelenskyy a dictator and blames Ukraine for Russia's invasion. It might be less embarrassing if we can get Trump out on the golf course more!

JG February 24, 2025, 7:22 pm Don't forget he is strong arming them for mineral rights as well! Sounds a lot like his art of the deal exit from Afghanistan. You know when he excluded the Afghan government from talks and gave everything to the terrorists and occupiers we had fought against for 20 years. Hope Biden comes back so he has someone to blame when Russia comes knocking for more. Who needs enemies when you have a great leader selling your country out!
I was just joking about Biden coming back let the poor man rest..
GB February 24, 2025, 11:04 pm Doing exactly what he should be doing. Biden should have not been pushing for Ukrain to join NATO giving Ukraine a false sense it could happen while Biden filled his pockets full of kickbacks from Ukraine. Most of America voted for exactly what is happening. It's great to have a President that actually serves America and not himself.
ME February 25, 2025, 4:32 am That whirring sound? That's Reagan rolling over in his grave.

We've gone from "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" to "Thank you, sir. May I have another, Mr. Putin?" in less than 40 years.
PS February 25, 2025, 10:52 am More strong US leadership on the world stage: A Feb 24, 2025 United Nations nonbinding resolution calling for an end to the Russia/Ukraine war was voted against by Russia and some of its closest friends, apparently because the resolution also condemned Russia for its full scale invasion 3 years ago.

Of course, joining Russia were close friends North Korea, and the United States.

Trump, asked about the vote in the Oval Office on Monday, said he would rather not explain the rationale behind it.
