As a news gal, I try to keep my ear to the ground on everything happening around us. Not only locally, but at the state and federal level and the insanity on the "interweb" in the culture around us.
On a podcast called, "I've Had It," episode, "Take your a*s to Cracker Barrel" which aired on August 7, 2025 you can see two rabid women. Jennifer Welch, and Angie Sullivan, both former reality "stars" on "Sweet Home: Oklahoma," launch into a tirade that I don't think I've ever seen before. Sullivan is an intelligent woman, being a divorce attorney and all.
I have to admit, I haven't seen this kind of hate go viral since dancing syringes and Jimmy Kimmel declaring that if you didn't get the COVID-19 vaccine. (at the 2:44 mark) and then you get sick that hospitals should just let you die.
Then Welch began whining about trying to pass someone in the fast lane. Now she had my attention. I've been doing a lot of driving this summer, and in the fast lane I might add. I share the same frustration of following someone who doesn't know how to apply pressure to the gas pedal to pass. For some reason, some just putt along matching the speed of the person in the right lane.
I'll also agree with the attitude that some men seem to have in their big ol' trucks. When some old lady in an old car passes them, they don't like it. One such guy threw up his hands and flipped me a bird. And I laughed. Again, apply more pressure to that gas pedal! But in reality, I pass trucks A) because I can't see around them and B) I don't trust anything hauling anything, I prefer not to be in the path of things that are "tied down," I might have trust issues.
Anyway, the co-host of this show takes this type of left lane driving to a whole new level that I didn't see coming. Welch, is convinced in her mind that those who do not pass are MAGA folks because they are so stupid. I'm not exaggerating here at all. (MY pet peeve is the phrase, "That's not hyperbole...") I have never seen two women so filled with hate, and it's quite frankly disturbing.
The funny part of this show is this. I have to hand it to them, BetterHelp sure knows where to find customers. (Perhaps I should contact them for the opinion page!)
Let's dive in, this is what Welch says:
"white people who 'triple Trumped' (meaning if you voted for President Trump three times) that have the nerve and audacity to walk into a Mexican restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, go to perhaps their gay hairdresser, I don't think you should be able to enjoy anything but Cracker Barrel."
Should we point out that this is a pretty racist remark? She's just warming up.
"And if you want to triple Trump and brow beat DEI you want to brow beat gay people, you wanna browbeat black people as you've been doing for 400 years, and you want to browbeat this generation of immigrants that come over here and open up businesses earnestly, pay their taxes, you want to demonize them, call them rapists and felons and all this s****, when the felon is in the teeny, weenie, mushroom, c***, piece of s***, cankles McTaco Tits at the top of the ticket, I have had it from top to bottom."
Careful there lady, you're about to give yourself a heart attack. She might look at some legaleze and find out just how many laws had to be changed so that "McTaco Tits" could be labeled as a felon.
Oh, but she's not done yet.
"White people that triple Trump, should be banned, boycotted, from enjoying the best thing that America has to offer which is multiculturalism. Get your fat a**es out of the Mexican restaurant, get your fat a**es over to Cracker Barrel, because nobody wants to see your f***ing smug a**, teeny weenie, pink arm, big gut around. Nobody wants to see that s***.
No one."
Well, now, Miss Cranky Pants, BetterHelp, is sure sounding like the place you need to check out, whoohee..
First of all, does she realize that if the "triple Trumpers took her advice, an awful lot of restaurants would go out of business? Seriously, there is no way to answer the over-the-top hate this woman has.
As for race, I have yet to meet a "triple Trumper" who is a racist, or one who hates gay people for that matter. But the media wants you to believe that. Try shutting it off, and talking to real people.
The other thing I thought as I watched this little rampage. The name-calling, for some reason, must only come to those who are extremely intelligent. I've been told I'm not because I'm not an NPR/IPR person. She most definitely is then. She's pulling out her inner Kamala stringing a bunch of words together that make absolutely no sense in her name calling. I mean if I said she's a possum face, you understand that. But what in the world does a "f***ing smug a**, teeny weenie, pink arm, big gut around" look like?
I remember being yelled at here in town over these same perceived ideas because I dare to be a Republican. And I just laughed. There was not a pause for a rebuttal, and I was trying to think of how to rebut someone who is making things up. You can't. The best you can do is pat them on the head and say, "There, there. Bless your heart..."
In reality, there's something about knowing that I didn't fall into this guy's way of thinking that put him right over the edge. How dare I?
So anyway, now I've got a hankering for Cracker Barrel. But I'll have to settle for the Chinese restaurant, oh wait, it's closed on Monday and Tuesday. Maybe I'll do taco Tuesday at the Mexican restaurant in her honor.
Anyway, here's to the "triple Trumpers" out there.

I do not know of any Republicans who beat up gay people or beat up people of color but I do know of some Democrats who have.
Democrats love to claim they are the party of tolerance, yet that only applies if you agree with them. They mis interpret the Constitution and twist it into something it is not to fit their agenda. We've seen examples of this here.
That can't make a point based on facts. They just make up their own rules as they go along. Now the Democratic Party is no longer for the working class. They have abandoned those people. Their no kings protests were comical at best. Especially the ones led by Bernie Sanders and company, claiming people with money are evil. That comes from a clown who has gladly taken millions upon millions of campaign funds from big pharmaceutical companies. The man's greatest accomplishment while in DC was to sponcer a bill to name a Post Office in Vermont. His partner (AOC) is a known idiot. Yet Communists and Socialists are now the core of the so called Democratic Party. They have abandoned America and the common folks. Then here we have a couple of dried up wannabes who in vision and over rate their own significance in a Democratic Party that no longer exists. Again, they make up their own facts and try to project those false fantasies on the rest of us as facts. Just like during the election, one of them tried to convince the rest of us, that Biden, then Harris was leading in the polls. They made themselves look foolish to anyone who was at least conscious during the previous 4 years. Their credibility is nonexistent. Still they pout, whine and throw tantrums, attacking anyone who dares to disagree with them. They truly need professional help. It's not healthy to spend your every waking minute on literally hating the man we call Mr. President. If you couldn't criticize Biden for any of his screw ups (there were many) I do not know how you can not criticize a President who is actually keeping every promise he made. History will remember him as one of the greatest Presidents in American History.

No political party has done more damage to this country than Democrats! None! One does not need to have a degree in Political Science to know that if the do some simple research. Start with the border crisis under Biden...

She is mad at me because I called her out in a separate email for not ever reporting on the things Trump is doing that negatively affect our country when she and her minions would constantly report on what they thought Biden was doing. That is why her next column stole my headline, The Trump Report. I must have hit a nerve.
FYI As someone who worked for a Quaker organization, Quakerdale, I can report that they will never support Trump.
Also to answer GB’s later comment from Val's next article I do have a BA in Political Science and a Master’s Youth and Human Services Administration both from UNI.

I would not make a claim that anyone's article failed when you have to recruit fellow radicals from outside of Benton County to respond with you. That would be what I call another example of how fake the radical left has become. It's a fake representation of opposition. Just like the Soros funded demonstrations across the country in the past several years where people are paid to protest. So a hand full of clowns get outside funding to pay other people to protest and the protesters (most of them) do not even understand what they are protesting. It's all about big clown show complete with a dog and pony show!
RS, do you really believe it is a show of force in Vinton when you and a few others hold a protest and yell and scream at everyone who happens to drive by? Do you actually believe most people won't notice that the majority of your small group were not driving vehicles from Illinois and Wisconsin? It's all fake! Again, the reality you appear to live in is NOT the reality for the rest of us.
