Dear Benton County Residents,  

Melinda Schoettmer has been dedicated to Benton  County  and its residents  since September of 1997.  

She has proven herself through her positions as a clerk, driver’s license deputy  and now as your current Benton County Treasurer  (6 years).   She has continually improved herself through multiple trainings and  completing her Iowa Treasurers’  Certification Program.    

I have seen through my experience as your previous Benton County Treasurer how  Melinda has  been willing to step up to any  task presented to her.   There are multiple facets to being your treasurer and Melinda has  jumped in with both feet to  learn  them all.
