Editor,
Am I the only one who sees a definite left/progressive bias to most if not all AP Stories? Yesterday July 9 in both the Cedar Rapids Gazette and the Des Moines Register the same AP story concerning voter ID appeared. The story alludes to the difficulty pensioners, the elderly, the poor, etc. (you name it, there is always a victim) has in getting a photo ID. If that is true and if it can be proven then leftist/progressives – open up your checkbook and buy these disadvantaged people a photo ID.
Yesterday the same July 9 I had occasion to speak to one of my favorite small time retailers. Yes he sells firearms and ammunition – in connection with his business he has occasion to see all stripes of customers and potential customers. One he happened to ask (out of the blue), “How many times did you vote?” The person answered, “Four times.” Someone in his ward in Chicago had given him $100 and at least four names and four wards to cast these many votes. Not required to prove who he was – he was able to cast these four votes for the person(s) required of him by this ward person. Is anyone out there outraged?? Voter fraud goes on all the time and is rarely found out let alone prosecuted! Voter ID would go a long ways to prevent this illegal activity and prevent your legal vote from being diluted. Demand Voter ID!! Good Grief!
Regards,
John Stiegelmeyer

Amendment 24
1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other
election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or
Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be
denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to
pay any poll tax or other tax.
If the Voter IDs are furnished at the state\'s expense, it might pass constitutional muster.
