To the Editor

We always thank our volunteers, admittedly, sometimes not enough.

For example, our fine people serving our country in the armed forces.

The other night while I was getting ready for the Garrisons Haunted house, I had to go to a friend's house, and I noticed that there sat some grandparents waiting to watch some grandkids while we all went down to scare the minions.

I then thought, we all get a 'thank you', but if we didn't have our support system, we couldn't volunteer or at the very least, it would become a whole lot more difficult.

So, the next time we see a volunteer, let's also remember the spouses, parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, friends, and anyone else that steps up to help us, to help our communities or to volunteer.

With that, we need to say a special "Thank You" to our support systems. Without you we couldn't do what we do.

Thank you,

Allan R Lindsey
