Supporters of President Obama will stand by him no matter what.  It is interesting that Chris Mathews is now a critic at least temporarily.  Critics of Pres. Bush and V.P. Cheney will continue to criticize no matter what.

The State Department Accountability Board Chaired by Ambassador Pickering did not look into security, intell., or who ordered stand down, nor were the decision makers in State interviewed.– why not?   Why were there 12 versions of “talking points”?  Just tell the truth!  The families deserve this much!  The U Tube video was a nonevent – why even mention it.  Why spent $70,000 + or –  on a video to apologize, when it was not necessary?  Is it true that the FBI was not allowed into Benghazi because Susan Rice’s comments embarrassed the Libyan President?   Ambassador Rice must have known her talking points were not truthful.  How come we don’t know who or where the survivors are or what they have to say?  More importantly why was Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi in the first place?  And knowing that it was a dangerous area why didn’t we have our own security?  The government didn’t even try a rescue.   Now we hear there are individuals who wish to tell what they know, but are subject to intimidation and/or threats to their career or assignments.    We must get to the bottom of this to assure this breach in security does not happen again.  Foreign Service people should expect their government will move heaven and earth to protect their security. Eight months and we still do not have answers!  The families do not have answers other than the comments at the reception center reported by Mr. Woods’s father of Navy SEAL Woods (Interviewed on Sean Hannity’s program).  (Paraphrased) The President in a little boy voice “I’m sorry”, Sec Clinton, “we will get the video maker”,  V. P. Biden, “did your boy always have large gonads?”  None of this rhetoric was sincere or in good taste. Mrs. Smith mother of the other Foreign Service officer murdered is waiting for answers as well.   It seems to me our Tigers are being led by sheep.

John Stiegelmeyer

NS May 31, 2013, 11:21 pm I can only hope that some day, people will wake up and see that supporting either of the \"Big Two\" political party party isn\'t the answer.

The \"Big Two\" parties today don\'t care about people. They only care about money, power, and putting people against the other party so they will give them more money and power (votes).
dw May 27, 2013, 12:55 pm Randy,
You\'re off the mark again. Big difference in this last event vs. others - this last event was followed by lies that nobody that was repeating them believed were true!

Nobody has mentioned Hilary\'s comment of \"what difference does it make\". I\'m sure the parents, kids, wives of these slain individuals would sure like to know why and how this could happen to their loved ones.

DS May 24, 2013, 12:04 pm The outrage is not that an attack occured but that there was no response to a 16 hour assault. What made it worse was an attempted cover it up. No one died at Watergate yet we almost impeached a president who tried to cover it up. Why is 0bama still in office? The Republican\'s have no spine that\'s why. What\'s worse, Democrat criminals or apathetic Republicans?
JS May 23, 2013, 12:45 pm To Mr. Braden and Ms. Schwartz,
It is as I said at the top of the article supporters of Obama will overlook the administration’s faults no matter what – the scales should be coming off. Secondly stating that a lack of funding is/was a reason for lack of security at Benghazi is a real stretch considering what really happened. State was able to find $70,000 plus to fund a video apologizing for the supposed offensive video and show it to the Pakistanis –that apology had no basis in fact – but, no trouble finding funds that supposedly were not available. Next you stated – 8 attacks under Bush – were there not things to learn? To better protect our Foreign Service Officers? – or is it just easier to point fingers at others rather that accept responsibility? Thirdly - Rosemary, I can not answer that question. I do not have that information and anyway the point is moot. I suggest all of you go to the following link – this is a factual report of events as this reporter has discovered them. This is not over; there are those responsible who will be found out. It will either be incompetence or dereliction of duty – in either case it is not acceptable. Lastly, Mr. Wood is not vindictive, he wants answers. His statement to Hannity indicated that it was obvious that the President was not sincere, Sec. Clinton was not being truthful in blaming the video, and V.P. Biden trying to give a compliment was tasteless. http://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/benghazi-talking-points_720543.html

JW May 22, 2013, 8:39 pm I just heard today that there are five individuals in Libya who have been identified as the leaders of the attack. The US inelegance is 99% sure it is the right guys and they are keeping them under surveillance. They could be taken into custody today and held a terror suspects for Military Court, but the Obama administration is choosing to wait and gain more evidence so they can be tried in a US Civil Court instead. This I believe was reported in the Washington Post. Keep in mind Mr. Obama stated after the event that \'he would not rest until the people responsible were caught.\' As for me he looks like a well rested man and no one has been captured.
BA May 22, 2013, 7:46 pm John, you are very kind to the administration. Why is the video maker still incarcerated while five identified Benghazi terrorists are merely being watched?
SS May 22, 2013, 6:46 pm Bush did this, Bush did that. It gets old. To paraphrase Jay Carney, Bush was a long time ago. Fact is four people got killed and we want to know what happened.
RS May 22, 2013, 5:45 pm John,
You are watching too much FOX and listening to right wing crazies like Rush, Hannity, & probably Glen Beck. I have a question for you, it has been proven that Republican staffers edited the talking points given to John Karl of ABC News that sent the media & other Republicans into a frenzy a couple of weeks ago. Where is your condemnation of that act?
BL May 22, 2013, 4:59 pm It\'s a moot subject.
KR May 22, 2013, 4:48 pm I agree Randy.
RB May 22, 2013, 3:23 pm There were no less than 8 embassy attacks the 8 years prior to Obama taking over as President. Where is the outrage and the investigations of those? It\'s not unusual to have \"talking points\" during a fluid situation. It\'s also more than just ironic that extra funding for \"beefed up security\" for our overseas embassy sites was defeated.
SS May 22, 2013, 1:11 pm Hope that at the very least this will wake some of those \'sheep\' up
