Sports : Cross Country season begins tonight; runners begin year with dinner

The annual team meal before the first meet was last night at the home of Pat and Nancy Jorgensen. Practice was later due to the heat and the team finished up with the traditional spaghetti meal in Jorgensen's backyard. This year's team has over 50 boys and girls. The VSHS XC team runs tonight at Mt. Vernon. The time is an hour later than originally scheduled due to the heat. It starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Mt Vernon High School. Good luck to all the runners!
