This was an interesting night. About half way through the meet, a major storm rolled in and because of lightening, the girls were called in. After a 45 minute delay, they returned to a soggy course to finish their rounds. Mara Jessen and Olivia Walker recorded 16 putts. The team had a strong night putting. This is sophomore Olivia Walker’s first ever time to be varsity medalist and Kaiti Kilpatrick’s second.
V-S JV turned in a round of 265. Jesup won the JV meet; CPU and West Delaware did not field a complete JV team. Alyssa Bunge had the lowest junior varsity score for V-S. In addition to Ms Bunge, Lindsey Miller, Sierra Goodell, Brittany Grendler, and Abbe Wilson played the final JV meet of this season tonight.
Center Poin-Urbana individual scores:
Kayla Ridgeway 50
Mallory Thurm 52
Aubrey Sarchett 53
Sam Morris 61
Noncounters: Miranda Slaymaker, Abby Sleege
Next up is the WAMAC Super Meet on Monday at Saddleback Golf Course in Solon. Start time is 9:00 a.m. This is an 18 hole varsity tournament with 15 teams participating.
