Once again it’s my favorite season of the year, football! We are fortunate that we get to kick off our season with our very own V/S Vikings taking the field with down the road rival Benton Community. It is always a fun time of the year to see the community and school spirit. Let’s hope the Vikes can improve from the 4-6 record from last year. Then soon it will be college and pro football seasons and that is when the action will really get started for me. Enjoy the season if it is one that you like.
We had a great time at the miniature golf course this week with the crew from KCRG. Hopefully they do a lot of super stories on the people and places that we have in our community that show the true story of what Vinton has to offer every day of all of our lives. I’m sure it will be outstanding and can’t wait until the week of September 13th to see all of the clips.
There really is a lot of programs and events coming up here at the VPRD. Find something for you and/or a family member to do and get your fall kick started.
