The Vikings played at the Waverly Municipal Golf Course this weekend and placed second in the team standings shooting 310. The course was in great shape and the day was beautiful with a little bit of wind. Austin Bohnsack led the Vikings carding a 74 taking home the runner-up medalist. Grant Noren placed 5th firing a 77. Tyler Stueck followed in 6th place carding a 78. Bryce Shaw also medaled placing 10th shooting 81. Mike DeLong medaled placing 11th carding an 83. Tanner Cummings placed 16th shooting 86.
The Vikings placed second by two strokes to West Delaware which came in with a 308. Other team scores were: 3rd New Hampton 332, 4th Waverly-Shell Rock 341, 5th North Fayette 345, 6th Waukon 362, 7th Waverly- Shell Rock JV 392, 8th Charles City 394, 9th Jesup 420, 10th Oelwein 437.
The Vikings are 10-1 and will have meets this week at Williamsburg on Monday, Benton on Thursday, and a home meet Friday at Wildcat.
