The Viking placed 2nd shooting 322 while 4 golfers placed in the top ten to earn themselves individual medals Saturday. West Delaware won the meet carding a 313. Other team scores were: 3rd- East Buchanan 331, 4th- Independence 348, 5th – Waterloo Columbus 351, 6th – Monticello 357, 8th – Waverly Shell-Rock 361, West Delaware “B” 367. The Vikings have been playing in back-to back -to back meets lately so had to grind out the mental side of the course Saturday and really focus on each shot.
Grant Noren led the way placing 5th and carding a 79. Mike Delong continues to play well shooting an 80 for 7th place. Bryce Shaw took 9th place with an 81 and Austin Bohnsack carded an 82 for 10th place. Tyler Stueck also shot 82 with Tanner Cummings placing 22nd carding an 88.
The Vikings play at the Amana Colonies Monday then get some practice time until Friday when they travel to Center Point-Urbana.
