Sports : VAC Swimming/Diving Club celebrates successful season

The Vinton Aquatic Club Swimming and Diving Team had another very successful year during the 2015-2016 Winter and Summer Seasons with 60 swimmers and 11 divers participating. Swimmers accomplished 72 Q times to compete at the Winter and Summer State Championship Meets and set 36 VAC Records. Swimmers competed in many area meets along with the Iowa Winter Short Course Championship, the Iowa Summer Long Course Championship and the USA Swimming Central Zone AAA Championship. Divers competed in the Iowa Winter & Summer Junior Olympic and Senior Championships and the Iowa Games Diving in August winning 33 medals. Three divers participated in the Spring Region 8 Jr. Diving Championship in Minneapolis winning 6 medals. Congratulations to all the swimmers and divers for another great season. Fall Registration is open for any youth interested in joining.
