Iowa's ride will be taking off from Dubuque on Sunday, July 12, for a 48 mile trip to Monticello. After leaving Monticello, the ride will go another 50 miles to the stop in Vinton on Monday, July 13. The remaining stops on the ride include, Eldora, Clarion, Emmetsburg, Sheldon and finish in Rock Rapids on Saturday. July 18.

Melissa Schwan of Vinton Unlimited said, "We are excited about the opportunity to participate as an overnight stop. We've been quietly putting together a planning team and now that the route is public, we will officially begin our work. Securing camping space for the riders and some evening entertainment will be a couple of our top priorities. Stay tuned for more details! "

The Iowa's Ride website says. "This WEEK-LONG CYCLING EXPERIENCE will be planned and coordinated by the staff that has organized RAGBRAI for the past 16 years as well as hosted the popular PIGTAILS, the BACOON RIDE and BIG ROVE cycling events.

  • University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital"
