Sam Griffith and CJ Rickels combined for 30 points to help lead the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings to a 41-33 WaMaC conference road win at South Tama Friday night.

After an ice cold first half that saw the two teams combine for a total of six point in the second quarter, Coach Joe Johnson's Vikings overcame a 19-14 deficit to roll to the win.

Griffith hit four three-pointers on his way to 16, while Rickels added five assists to go along with his 14. Sam Moen and Jose Wilson each added four points and David Lapan-Islas hit for three points while leading the Vikes in rebounds with seven.

The Vikings (3-4 overall and 2-4 in the league) will be home Tuesday night to host Williamsburg, then hit the road Friday night to take on Independence.
