Sports : Vinton Parks and Recreation Department Opens Pool For 2020 Season

The Vinton Parks and Recreation Department along with Staff voted Tuesday night to open the Vinton Community Pool for the 2020 season.

The pool season will begin on Monday, June 15, 2020. There will be some restrictions that are in place at the beginning of the pool season. The first three weeks will heavily be geared toward lessons and private swim instruction. This falls in line following the proclamations made through the Governor's office on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. At this time the pool will not be open for lap swim or for open recreation swim. Adjustments to schedules to allow for lap swim after the three-week lesson period is a possibility at this point.
