Benton County Speedway rolls out the red carpet for opening night of the five-race IMCA Frostbuster Week.

The Wednesday, April 6 show at Vinton, sponsored by Michael & Dowd and by Wayne's Repair, features IMCA Modifieds running for $1,000 to win while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars chase a $500 top prize. IMCA Northern SportMods run for $400 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m. with racing following 7 p.m. hot laps. The Benton County Speedway show will be broadcast by IMCA.TV.

Frostbuster feature wins last April helped springboard two drivers to IMCA national championships, Jeff Larson in the Modifieds and Kaden Reynolds in the Hobby Stocks. Jay Schmidt was the Stock Car winner and Brayton Carter the SportMod winner.

More information about the Benton County Frostbuster is available from promoters Corey Dripps and Rick Dripps at 319 429-6931 or 319 230-5566, and on Facebook.
