Kale Schulte, a Vinton-Shellsburg graduate, has been honored for his contributions to the Central College men ¢â‚¬â„¢s soccer team in the fall of 2022. Coach Garry Laidlaw awarded 25 varsity letters after his squad finished 3-11-2 overall and 2-5-1 in the American Rivers Conference.
Junior goalkeeper John Foster (Lee ¢â‚¬â„¢s Summit, Mo., North HS) was chosen as the team ¢â‚¬â„¢s Most Valuable Player honor.
Fifth-year senior midfielder Jake Dzarnowski (senior, Wheaton, Ill., North HS) was awarded the team ¢â‚¬â„¢s Most Inspirational Player Award.
Midfielder Evan Hackett (sophomore, Tempe, Ariz., Tempe Preparatory Academy) earned the team ¢â‚¬â„¢s Most Improved Player Award and freshman defender Spencer Taylor (Norwalk) was named the team ¢â‚¬â„¢s Newcomer of the Year. Dzarnowski, Foster and Michael Handel (senior, defender, Libertyville, Carmel Catholic HS) served as team captains.
