After the season-opening special was washed out three consecutive weeks, officials at Benton County Speedway are hopeful the start of the IMCA weekly racing points season helps change Mother Nature's tune this Sunday.
Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts are slated to start their season points battles Sunday, May 21, along with the INEX Legends and a special appearance by the American Iron Racing Series (A.I.R.S.).
All divisions will be draw/redraw.
Kids power wheel races will also be part of opening night festivities, along with grandstand bingo which starts at 4 p.m.
Both pits and grandstand open at 3:30 p.m. May 21, with hot laps scheduled for 5:30 and racing at 6.
Grandstand admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors and veterans, and $5 for ages 6-14. Those ages five and under are admitted free if accompanying a paid adult.
Pit passes are $30. Pit passes for those under age 14 are $15.
