We were at Grinnell for a quad meet last night. Final results attached, a photo will be sent later today.
Illness has been a factor lately, and with a small team - every body counts. We struggle a bit with times last night, but it's not always a linear progression throughout the season. Everyone goes through ups and downs; last night was a "character building" night.
There were still some good times too. Newcomer Ava Helter swam massive time drops in all three of her events - dropping over 5 seconds in the 50 Freestyle, matching that time in her split for the 200 Freestyle Relay, and dropping 7 seconds in her 100 Freestyle. It's always fun to see things click for newer swimmers; where they start the season compared to where they end up is usually a night and day difference.
We have a week to hone some technique and work on getting healthy before we head to Oskaloosa for our next meet on Oct 10.
