Sports : Benton County Speedway to honor Iowa\'s Soldiers

Due to the weather last Sunday, THIS Sunday, September 25, the Benton County Speedway will Salute Iowa's Bravest.

Men and women returing from Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan will be special guests during season championship night. They will be honored in a parade lap with special guest Ian Ralstonas, who was badly injured in Iraq. Drivers will pass their helmets for donations to send holiday gift boxes to our troops. For every $5.00 donation a ticket will be given to the donor for a door prize drawing.

Gates open at 4:30 pm, hot laps begin at 6 pm.
