Sports : V-S girls lead early, but lose to WD on soccer field, 5-1

We played West Delaware this evening and jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a Kylie Fisher goal early in the first half. The team did a good job with passing to get the offense moving. The defense also played strong, Kaitlin McAbee in particular had a couple great saves. Sophmore Erin Spangler played keeper and had 25 saves. Erin had an outstanding diving save on a penalty kick. Unfortunately, we lost 5-1. 

 

JV also lost 5-0. Senior Mattie Walker and Freshman Megan Ternus played keeper for us. They had 15 saves between them.
