VINTON, Iowa – This Sunday, April 15, Benton County Speedway will hold a 50/50 raffle in support of the North Benton Ambulance Service during the track’s season points opener. The ambulance crew has provided its services at the speedway on race nights for many years. Proceeds from the raffle will go toward purchase of a Lucas Device, a piece of equipment that provides automatic CPR and greatly assists medics when working with individuals in crisis. North Benton Ambulance Service has two ambulances, however it only has one Lucas Device, which runs at around $12,000 each. Gates at the speedway will open at 4 p.m. on Sunday, with hot laps at 5:30 and racing to follow. If you are unable to attend Sunday’s races, North Benton Ambulance Service will accept donations at 704 W. 4th St., Vinton, IA 52349.
