Sports : Three Union athletes accept college offers

Three Union High School student-athletes who made commitments to play college athletics on Wednesday. Kylie Powell, senior, signed a national letter of intent to play soccer at UNI. Trev Hadachek, senior, committed to Iowa as a preferred walk-on. He turned down four earlier FCS offers from Eastern Illinois (sophomore offer), South Dakota State, North Dakota, and UNI. Hadachek also had preferred walk on opportunities at ISU, Wisconsin, and Arkansas. Hadachek was a two time first team all state player and two time team captain at Union. Hadachek was also a finalist in the 3A state track 100 meters last spring. Josh Clark, senior, signed a national letter of intent to play football at Iowa Western Community College. IWCC was the 2012 national champion this past fall. Clark was a two time first team all state players and a two time team captain at Union. He placed fourth in 2A wrestling last winter at heavy weight.
