Erica Miller, the grandaughter of Dave and Marcia Hite of Vinton, has enjoyed much success at first base for Iowa State University, especially in the past two seasons.

Miller, an ISU senior, was named to the All-Big 12 First Team for the second year in a row.

In her final season with the Cyclones, Miller hit .349 against Big 12 pitching while slugging .512 with an on-base percentage of .481. Both her 13 RBI and nine walks in league play led the Iowa State squad. Not only did Miller break school records for RBI (52) and walks (29) in a season, but she leaves Iowa State as the career record-holder with 149 RBI and 333 total bases. Miller ranks in the top-three all-time at Iowa State in average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, hits, doubles, home runs and walks.

Miller is the daughter of Jack and Cathy Miller. She started 43 games as a freshman and was a 2nd Team All Big 12 selection as a sophomore.
