The Vinton-Shellsburg Red Cedar Shooters Trap team won its final meet of the regular season Saturday at the Izaak Walton League, hosting Cedar Rapids Jefferson in a dual meet.
The Red Cedar Shooters Gold Squad took the squad honors for the day with a 212/250 for the event. Black Squad was right behind with a 210/250.
Top Shooter honors for the day went to Red Cedar's Senior Tiffany Auen, who shot a 46/50, a personal best.

Xavier/Kennedy Invitationals
On May 11th, the Red Cedar Shooters spent the day at the Otter Creek Sportsman's Club in Cedar Rapids, participating in 2 separate invitationals, one hosted by Cedar Rapids Xavier High School, and the other by Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School.
The Red Cedar Shooters tied at 203/250 for 3rd place in the Xavier Invitational against Maquoketa in extremely windy shooting conditions, and ended the day with 4th place after losing a shoot-off by a single shot. Top Shooter for the Red Cedar Shooters for the Xavier meet was Logan Salger with a 44/50.
Red Cedar's Black Squad and Gold Squad tied each other with 204/250 in the Kennedy Invitational for 6th place honors. Top Shooter honors for the team went to Freshman Tyler Stueck with a 47/50 round in the Kennedy meet, a personal best for him.
The Red Cedar Shooters final event of the season is the Iowa High School Trap Championships in Cedar Falls on Friday, May 31st.
