Business : Kirkwood, IowaWORKS to Offer Career Consultants in Benton County

Select dates available for walk-in appointments over the next few months

VINTON, Iowa (March 15, 2023)-Kirkwood Community College and IowaWORKS are partnering to make career consultants available to the people of Benton County to help them with their career and training goals. Members of the public will be able to take advantage of walk-in appointments on select dates over the next few months.

Those seeking career advice will be able to sit down with an expert to discuss effective strategies for getting a good job. The career consultants will have useful information about in-demand careers, job training services and the support programs that are available to help make a career transition possible. In addition, those that stop by will be able to learn about IowaWORKS and other partner services that are available to aid in the job search process. Job seekers will also be able to find out about in-demand careers, which employers are hiring and why now might be the best time to pursue a training certificate or college degree.

Career consultants will be at the Kirkwood Benton County Center in Vinton from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates:

• March 28
• April 25
• May 23
• June 27
