There was a big supply of books and gratitude at the Friends of the Center Point Library annual book sale. The sale was held onJune 9, 10 and 11 at the Library community room. The gratitude was from Friends for the good set-up and clean-up help. Young muscle was provided by The CPU Crew: Ryker Davis, Jackson Kelly, Jai Boyer-Hendryx, and Isaac Jordan.
North Eden Willing Workers June 15, 2022 The North Eden Willing Workers met at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vinton. The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. and roll call was answered with your favorite thing about fair. The secretary’s report was read. There was no treasurer’s report. Members voted to give $25 Casey’s gift cards to Stan Geiken and Jenny Janssen for judging our club The Achievement Show, was from 4-6 before the meeting.

Iowa State University honored more than 4,700 students who received degrees during spring commencement ceremonies May 12-14. Alumna Beth Ford, president and chief executive officer of Land O'Lakes, received a Doctor of Humane Letters honorary degree for her contributions as a leader in business and agriculture and advocate for farmers and rural communities.
The Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation has awarded scholarships to nearly 350 students to help pay for college. Scholarships awarded by the Iowa Lakes Foundation are funded by Iowa Lakes alumni, community members, and businesses to provide students with the chance to overcome financial obstacles as they pursue a quality education at Iowa Lakes Community College and beyond.
