Oak 3 is serving with Habitat for Humanity Marquette in Marquette, Michigan, and their service includes helping the organization build homes for low-income families. Thus far, everything seems to be going pretty smoothly. Since arriving on October 18, they have already put up siding and the framework on the interior and exterior of a house
The mission of Oak 3’s service is to work on the construction of homes in various stages of completion. Their tasks include decking, wall raising, roofing, siding, installing drywall, painting, flooring, clean-up and other construction oriented tasks.
The team is hoping to get as much done as possible within their short project. AmeriCorps NCCC is all about getting things done!
