The North Eden Willing Workers 4-H meeting with held April 2nd, 2017, at St Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton, Iowa. The meeting started at 5 PM. The upcoming Communications Day on June 24th was discussed, as well as a canvas painting workshop for the club. TheN.E.W. W. Club is planning on donating recycling bins to the fairgrounds. All members need to be signed up on May 15th for their projects for the projects they are planning on bringing to the fair. The club is planning on doing garbage pickup at the fair again for a fundraiser.
Presentations were given by Ty Lillibridge on how to make slime, David Evan on how to make slime, Aleric Weber on how to play chess, Landon Glasford on how to make homemade pizza, and Lydia Radeke on how to make bath bombs.
On April 30, members of the NEWW met to discuss fair items and several members stayed to attend the painting the workshop. Several members painted a landscape scene. On Friday, May 12 many members went to the Vinton Lutheran Home and Windsor Manor to help plant flowers for the residents. It was a beautiful afternoon and the members really enjoyed spending time with the residents and planting flowers.
